1. Introduction

This Privacy Statement applies to the websites, products and services of RobotWise B.V., with its office located at Mortelmolen 3-III, 1185 XV Amstelveen, the Netherlands, hereafter to be referred to as “RobotWise”, “we”, “us” or “our”.

This Privacy Statement explains how we process your personal data (also known as: “personally identifiable information”), for what purpose we do that and how you can execute your rights in that process.

This Privacy Statement is part of RobotWise being fully compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), especially article 13 GDPR regarding the transparency about the collection and processing of personal data.

We understand “processing” to include everything that can be done with your personal data, such as collecting, but also storing, using and deleting.

“Personal data” includes all data that directly or indirectly provide information about you, such as your name, email address, and phone number if you register at our websites, but also the IP address of your computer if you visit our websites and the personal data you share with us when you participate in our events.

Although RobotWise has no dedicated Data Protection Officer, but we are nevertheless more than willing to help you with any privacy-issue.

This Privacy and Cookie Statement may change from time to time. The most recent version of the Privacy Statement will be published on this page. This current version is effective as of December 1, 2022 and was last modified on that day.

2. When is this Privacy and Cookie Statement applicable?

This Privacy and Cookie Statement applies to the processing of all personal the data you provide us with, for instance by filling in your contact-details in the contact form on our sites https://robotwise.nl , https://robotwise-ces.com and sub-sites of these websites, or when you participate in one of our events.

3. Who is responsible for the processing of your personal data?

RobotWise B.V. is responsible for the processing of all personal data that falls within the scope of this Privacy Statement (as described in the introduction). In the terms of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) RobotWise acts as a Controller.

For the processing of your personal data RobotWise has contracted Processors, like Seppo Lentävä Liitutaulu in Finland and Savvii in the Netherlands. The data which you provide by filling in the contact form on or sites are stored on servers in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, so within the EU.

The websites of RobotWise contain buttons to social media-platforms, like Linkedin and Facebook. However, RobotWise has no knowledge about their use of your personal data, nor any responsibility for it.

4. For what purposes do we process your personal data?

We use your personal data for several purposes. For one, we need your personal data to facilitate you using the digital Seppo platform to play the RobotWise-games. Secondly, we use your personal data to communicate with you if have any questions, information-requests or in the process of reaching commercial agreement with you and execution of our contract with you. This processing is necessary for compliance with the legal obligations we have towards you. In case we use your personal data, for instance in a request for information, while we have not (yet) a contract with you, we process your data for the purpose of the legitimate interests of us (and you).
As a contact of RobotWise, you might regularly receive newsletters about products and services similar to those you already purchased from us. If you do not want this, you can unsubscribe at any moment and we will always respect your choice. This type of processing of personal data we consider as necessary for our legitimate interests.

5. Cookies

We collect some of the personal data mentioned above by means of “cookies”. These are small data files that store and retrieve data about your visit to our websites – for example, how you arrived at our site, how you navigated the site, and what information was of interest to you. The cookies we use are:

6. Who has access to your personal data?

Our employees only have access to your personal data to the extent necessary to perform their work. The personal data which you provide by filling in the contact form on our sites are stored on servers in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, so within the EU, and will not be transferred to any country outside the EU.
When a third party processes your personal data at our request and according to our instructions, this party is acting as a Processor as defined in the GDPR. We have a contract with each Processor for the processing of personal data. This contract contains obligations to ensure that your personal data are processed exclusively by the Processor or possibly contracted third parties (sub-processors) exclusively for the services they provide to us. We make sure that these Processors will meet all requirements set by laws and regulations, as stated by the General Data Protection Regulation for example.

7. How is the protection of your personal data guaranteed?

RobotWise has established safeguards to guarantee the confidentiality and security of your personal data. We have implemented appropriate technical, physical and organisational measures to protect personal data from accidental or unlawful destruction or loss, damage, modification, unauthorised disclosure or access, as well as all other forms of unlawful processing (including, but not limited to, unnecessary collection) or further processing.

8. How long will your personal data be stored?

Your personal data will be deleted or anonymised when your personal data are no longer required for the purposes for which these personal data were being processed. Data used to play the RobotWise-games will be deleted six (6) months after you used them for the last time.

9. How can you exercise your privacy rights?

You have the right of access to an overview of your personal data and, under certain conditions, you can rectify and/or delete your personal data such as being used by us. In addition, in certain cases you also have the right to restrict the processing of your personal data, the right to object to the processing, and the right to data portability.
